Welcome to SplitNSpend. This Privacy Policy explains how Codeforge Apps ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use the SplitNSpend mobile application ("the App").

By using SplitNSpend, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access or use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information (Firebase Authentication)

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address
• Display name
• Profile photo (if provided)
• Authentication provider information (email/password or Google Sign-In)

This information is managed through Firebase Authentication, a service provided by Google.

2.2 Financial Data (Cloud Firestore)

To provide the core functionality of the App, we store the following data in Cloud Firestore:

• Personal income and expense transactions (amounts, categories, descriptions, dates)
• Account information (account names, types, balances)
• Budget configurations (categories, limits)
• Group information (group names, member lists)
• Shared expenses and split details
• Settlement records

2.3 Usage Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

We collect anonymized usage data to improve the App experience, including:

• App open and session duration
• Feature usage patterns (which screens are visited, which features are used)
• Device information (device model, operating system version)
• Crash reports and performance data

This data is collected through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, and is used solely for improving app stability and user experience. It does not include your personal financial data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Provide Core Services: To enable expense tracking, splitting, budgeting, and all other app features.
• Account Management: To authenticate your identity and manage your user account.
• Sync Data: To synchronize your data across sessions and enable group features with other users.

• Send Notifications: To deliver expense alerts, payment reminders, and budget warnings you've opted into.

We do not use your personal financial data for advertising purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal financial information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

SplitNSpend uses the following third-party services:

4.1 Firebase (by Google)

• Firebase Authentication: For user sign-up, login, and account management.
• Cloud Firestore: For storing and syncing your financial data securely.
• Firebase Analytics: For anonymized usage analytics.
• Firebase Crashlytics: For crash reporting and app stability monitoring.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: For delivering push notifications.
• Firebase Remote Config: For managing app configuration remotely.

Firebase services are governed by Google's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.

4.2 Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may collect and use certain data for ad personalization, including:

• Device advertising identifier
• IP address (for approximate location-based ads)
• General device information

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings. AdMob is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement the following measures:

• Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL.
• Encryption at Rest: Data stored in Firebase is encrypted at rest using Google's infrastructure-level encryption.
• Access Controls: Firestore Security Rules ensure that users can only read and write their own data. Group data is accessible only to group members.
• Authentication: All data access requires valid authentication through Firebase Auth.

While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to implementing industry-standard protections.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: You can view all your data within the App at any time.
• Export: You can export your transaction history from the Analytics section.
• Correction: You can edit or update your transactions, accounts, and profile information at any time.
• Deletion: You can delete individual transactions, accounts, or groups. You can also delete your entire account from the app settings, which will permanently remove all your data from our servers.
• Opt-Out: You can disable notifications and opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

SplitNSpend is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
